Rubber Chickens

Rubber Chickens Improv

The University of Delaware's premiere improv group!

Founded in 1997, the Rubber Chickens perform both short- and long- form improv at their monthly shows. We are comprised of 7 members who do comedy to make each other laugh and to have a good time. We are a student-run performance group at the University of Delaware hosting shows every month in the Fall and Spring semester.

Comprised of 7 members, the Rubber Chickens are one of UD's oldest performance groups. We hold auditions every fall for UD students and practice twice a week. We perform once a month, which you can come see for the low, low price of $1 ($2 for non-UD students). We specialize in short-form games, but also perform long-form scenes.

Along with hosting shows once a month, we collaborate with our sister group Riot Act for several shows throughout the year. Every year we also host our own weekend long event that we have named D.I.S.C.O. where we perform alongside other UD performance groups, other college performance groups, and even improv professionals!

We do workshops and performances within the community as well, volunteering at libraries, schools, summer programs, and wherever else your heart may desire. If you would like us to work with you or perform with you, please contact us!

Our alumni have gone on to be professional actors, writers for SNL, Parks and Recreation, Late Night with Seth Meyers, and UCB performers!
